deadlift work did 5 reps of the following weights with 1 minute rest 45-50-55-60-65-70-75-80 2 mins rest 85kgs then called it a day then did 20 kgs 15 shoulder press 10 push press 5 push jerk no rest between, no shoulder work for a while see!

5 rounds of 30kg 15 deadlifts (maybe not the best due to yesterdays, but seemed ok) 12 hang power cleans 9 front squats 6 push jerks For time Last time I did this in 26 minutes, very long time ago though. Repeated today as it is light enough while still giving me something to compare against. 16:26

decided to just follow MP wods from where i am, no dodging nastier workouts...is the plan. so a bit dismayed to find this one today after tuesdays wod Complete as many rounds as possible 20 minutes of: 95 pound Thruster, 5 reps 95 pound Hang Powercleans, 7 reps 95 pound Sumo Deadlift High-pull, 10 reps i went for 30kgs to avoid overdoing the weight and did 8 rounds by 18:40 might have just managed another round...maybe... but was dying at that point, got sore throat too, no more illness/injuries please?! pretty please?

Yeah, I saw this and will fit it in somewhere, I like these movements but proably not in this combo, thrusters after SDHP must have been really pleasant Nice one.

due to sore throat and stuff i went for a more strength based day today. also short of time so did 5 reps 80kg deadlift rest one minute 5 reps 50kg back squat rest one minute for 5 rounds total. apparently my plea for no illness was ignored tick - to be honest it was doing hang power cleans again, 60 total on tuesday followed by 56 on thursday made my wrists quite unhappy!

Two rounds of: Right arm barbell push-press 12 reps Left arm deadlift 12 reps Run 800 meters Left arm barbell push-press 12 reps Right arm deadlift 12 reps Run 800 meter
ditched the running due to sore throat, nearly gone but did not want to push it. 20kg push presses 45kg deadlifts this was seriously hard work. 15:16

thanks mark! working back into the deadlifts from today, went light so as to build up don't want to rush it after all. warm up with some burpees, shoulder dislocations and lighter deads 5 reps with 70 80 90 kgs (2 mins rest between first two, 3 mins last one) 3 mins rest and then 21 reps with 60kgs felt great throughout, back no problem at all, could've gone higher. this is good about 6 mins setting up for this: metcon 50kg power clean and push-jerk 30 reps for time
done in 7:27. last time 7 mins on the dot, but that was with only a warm up and otherwise fresh, so i suppose the extra 27 seconds is not too bad.

attempted the reading wod form the othe day bear crawl 400m push ups 50 40 30 20 weight plate swing 10kg 10 20 30 40 run 400m (i know i missed the 10 push ups and 50 swings but i'd gone over 40 mins at this point) never done bear crawl before which way is right? www.youtube.com/watch?v=K7AMnJgdt78 straight legs? www.youtube.com/watch?v=_JLqTtxoIhs bent legs? i did both as where i chose to do mine was behind my house, distance estimated and up and down a gravelled slope(gravel...) straight leg hit glutes more, bent leg hit hams and tired me out much faster but was better for the downhill parts i wore my old work out gloves, have not used any for months but seemed good idea. took me 24:44 to bear walk...is this normal?! god awful move. maybe worse due to all the overhead style work over last two days, shoulders were destroyed before i even started on push ups!! 45:36 so something to try again sometime. on a level surface without gravel maybe

shoulders tight as hell, muscles around my shoulder blades keep clenching uncontrollably. already planning tactically for the next time i do this wod though ;D

did not feel up for gym at all today, just feeling rough and still very sore from saturdays workout. did not go gym in my lunch break as a result. felt worse for this when i got home so did a small strength and skill wod 5 deadhang pull ups on loft hatch (very wide grip) 5 handstand push ups onto a book(not quite got full ROM on this)
5 rounds of. as a strength/skill workout i did not go for time and rested as i felt necessary, but no rest was over 90 seconds i don't think, if even a minute.

3 rep deadlifts 85 95 105kgs high reps with 65kgs 21 reps managed(target) note to self: don't use steps to raise bar to correct height, they move as you go through the reps and then you bash shin with bar. ) metcon 40kg squat cleans 10 8 6 4 2 reps sit ups 25 20 15 10 5 (scaled down from 50-40-30-20-10 sit ups to fit within 10 minutes which i last did in 12:06) 7:30
