front squat 65 kgs for 3 sets of 5 reps felt solid.
21 reps with 50kgs felt solid. (annoying though because my last back squat strength session was 70kgs for 3 sets of 6)
metcon 5 4 3 2 1 deadlift 100kg bench press 75kg power clean 50kgs done in 6:09 this is a scaled down version of Linda where it is 10 9 8-3 2 1 with 1.5bw/bw/0.75bw respectively.

04/09/09 today shoulder press 3 sets of 5 at 52.5 kgs
high rep set at 35 kgs 16 / 5 reps, same as last week which i can't complain about too much. might make this a multiple set jobby something like 15-12-9 maybe because that way i'm at least getting more volume.
metcon: as many rounds as possible in 10 minutes of 3 60kg powercleans 6 press ups 9 squats
did 10 rounds in 9:46 managed 4 rounds in the 3 minutes this is normally done in and i may do it that way some time, especially as i'm out of work at the mo so the usual time constraints do not apply.

snatch grip deadlift work. did the warm up with raised bar as advised. 30 40 60 75 85 90 kgs then did 3 sets with 95kg on the bar each for 5 reps. this move seriously messes my grip up, think i'll stop progressing with this due to grip rather than strength too. did some conditioning work today too. 12.5kg dumbell for 100 swings for time. last time 5:35 this time 5:03 reps: 35/15/15/15/20 phew bring on the rest day!

started with 75kgs 3 reps then 5 reps (did 3 and felt like i had not worked enough!) dropped to 70 kgs for 5 then 5 total of 18 reps last time 2 weeks ago it was 3 sets of 6 with 70kgs so overall more weight lifted for same reps.
getting 75kgs to my back was an issue, more worrying was getting it back over again after my squats which prompted the drop in weight.
bench warmed up with 60 and then 70kgs
3 sets of 4 reps each with 85 kgs. forgot to do some high rep work or press ups work but good session still.

today volume deadlift work did reps with 120kgs on bar 3-3-3-3 with 2 minutes between sets then singles for another 8 total reps with one minute between each. so sweaty by end for some reason. missed metcon as not in mood

am still here, as i got made redundant 3 weeks before wedding i've since got into some work. long hours and i've not yet managed to fit gym work in to my routine, walking for 8+ hours a day anyway so i'm pretty much knackered every night. this should only be short term as i'm applying for any and every thing that seems liveable at present.

wedding was 12/09/09 mate and was awesome! quite lierally the best day of my life, no sentimentality whatsover in that statement. weird as quite a few people who were married told us it was the best wedding they'd ever been to.
today was first day back in gym and i did 5 reps of the following deadlift 80 90 90 bench press 60 70 75 front squat 60 60 60 (including flawless power cleans, felt good) pull ups kipping 5 5 then deadhang 3-1-1 about 5 seconds between the deadhangs, grip failure shoulder press 40 40 40 hanging knee raises reps 15 15 9 (no k2e yet) am going to repeat this thursday and saturday then hit the old routine next week. metcon ability will have taken a significant hit :-( but there you go

i chopped down a tree the other day in our garden and i've skinned bark off and started varnishing it so i can use it for weekend metcons (heavy ones) like grace and something like tree carry, burpees, dumbell swings.
no idea how much it weighs tbh

helped a friend moved house and missed gym open hours
did some tree from-floor-to-overhead lifts, max reps in 10 minutes. first cardio in a long time and managed 16 reps, will be more next time now that my technique has been played with. expected to use power clean push press technique but due to irregular size it was more deadlift to standing, drop into front squat then stand and push jerk.
good stuff and Rachael got some on video so aim to post onto youtube at some point. should attempt weighing this tree some point too, reckon it's lighter than it seems though

will probably do a longer video, like the whole workout, due to limited space on camera Rachael used her phone and got one rep filmed and then another video with 3 reps filmed. just need to play with youtube to get that sorted online. also did it around 7:30 in the evening and it was getting dark so picture not great.
today front squat 5 sets of 5 with 60kgs bench press 80kgs reps: 4-4-5-5-7(went for max on last set) did not think i'd manage 5 reps so started low, should have gone for it. plan to up weight to 85 next session.
