Thanks Steve - look forward to training with you next week mate. 29.5.08 Outside for my second crack at "Elizabeth" this morning: 21-15-9 Cleans @ 60kg Ring dips 8 minutes 20 seconds ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png) Notes: going into this I would have been happy with under 10 minutes, but this beats my previous attempt by over 2 minutes. ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png)

Power mate - never learnt the full clean, and pretty sure I'd struggle with them at that weight.

Thank you gents ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png) 30.5.08 Upper body is pretty sore from yesterday (biceps hurt more than triceps, oddly), so time to have another go at this: Run 400m 50 squats 4 rounds for time 9 minutes 39 seconds - 5 seconds away from my best time for this. Finisher: 4 minutes Tabata situps: 13/14/12/13/12/12/12/13

Oops, just noticed something - today's finisher should read Tabata situps, not squats. Those numbers would have been rubbish for squats!

31.5.08 Beautiful sunny morning for some training in the garden in shades ![8-)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/cool.png) : A - overhead squats 5 @ 20kg/30kg/35kg/37.5kg/40kg/42.5kg 3 @ 45kg 1 @ 47.5kg/50kg/52.5kg B - this little Gym Jones routine to christen my new hex DBs: 5 renegade man-makers (15kg DBs) 5 knees-to-elbows 6 rounds for time 8 minutes 8 seconds Notes: Not done O/H squats as a strength routine before, so worked from the ground up and wasn't sure what to expect. I'm sure it's no great shakes in the grand scheme of things, but I am quietly pleased with getting over 50kg. My time on that Gym Jones routine beats my previous effort at it (last November) by over a minute. In all, a very pleasing session

2.6.08 Crossfit Reading tonight - greeted by a nasty little beast on the board: "The Naughty Forty:" 40 Burpees 40 Jumping Pull Ups 40 Wall Ball @ 9KG 40 KB Swings @ 16KG 40 Box Jumps @ 24" 40 Push Ups 40 SDHP @ 16kg 40 Tuck Jumps 40 Lengths hall (800m) For time - 17:39 Notes: unpleasant little monster, that one. Had to stagger the starts to avoid equipment congestion - I started with the KB swings, which pleasingly I did in one big set of 40. ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png)

6.6.08 Outside this sunny morning for a three-parter:
A - barbell snatch 10 @ 10kg 5 @ 20 3 @ 30/35 2 @ 40 1 @ 45/47.5 (sketchy form on this last one, but definitely up there)
B - 12, 9, 6, 3 Burpee clean & press @ 15kg DBs Weighted pullups @ 15kg For time - 9:48
C - Water ball carrying 25 yards overhead carry 25 yards bear hug carry 5 rounds - not for time, just to finish
Notes: Snatch is an improvement. Burpee/pullup routine is a PB at this weight, although I've done it faster (8:59) at 13.5kg. Waterball is 32kg of sheer wobble and grip-strain!
