Update 23/03/09:
Nothing done at the weekend as calves were still very stiff and aching....
Then today did "Jules's Challenge - Round 2"
Tabata drill:
Thrusters (42kg) - 6, 5, 5, 4, 4, 4, 4, 4 Press Ups - 15, 12, 8, 8, 8, 8, 8, 8 American Swings (16kg) - 10, 10, 10, 9, 9, 9, 9, 9 Sit Ups - 15, 15, 14, 14, 14, 12, 12, 13 SDHP (16kg) - 15, 12, 11, 11, 11, 11, 11, 11 Squats - 20, 19, 18, 18, 17, 18, 19, 19
Lowest reps for each round - 4, 8, 9, 12, 11, 17
Total Score = 61
The reps of Thrusters ruined me and was very hard work from there on - but scores seem fairly respectable.

5.5 mile run - 55mins
Update 29/03/09:
Reading half marathon - 2hrs 5mins
Legs/feet have been aching a great deal since doing this - particularly lower calves, very, very tight indeed.
Back to Crossbox tomorrow and then back to normal next week!

Update 07/04/09:
Crossfit - weight session
Stiff Leg Dead Lift - 3 x 15reps - working up to 15RM
40/60/70 - problems with grip
Push Press - 4 x 5reps - working up to 5RM
40/45/50/55 - could have gone further, at least up to 60kg
HPC - 3 x 15reps - working up to 15RM
30/35/40 (failed) - Very frustrating, grip problems again. Annoying as I thought I had improved on this.
Overall a frustrating session - back to the drawing board!!!
Update 08/04/09:
Needed to have a blast at something to clear frustration from previous night.
50 Burpees 50 American KB Swings (16kg) 50 Sit Ups 50 KB Clean & Press (16kg) 50 Press Ups 50 One arm KB pulls (16kg) 50 Squats 50 SDHP (16kg)
Time - 23mins (ish)
Felt better.

Bottom to bottom Tabata squats. 20s work 10s rest in the hole, 8 rounds
WOD 2
5 rounds
10 lengths of hall (200m) 10 inverted burpee 30 American kettlebell swings 30 sit ups 10 GS burpees
Lowest score from Tabata = 11
Time for WOD 2 (KB weight) = 36.10 (24kg)
Bl##dy hard work - but also very satisfying - good work Thong!

Update 24/04/09:
Did routine that I'd seen done at Crossfit Manchester and looked like it would be interesting....
7x Thrusters (42kg) 7x Sit Ups
7 Rounds
Time = 11.20
Rounds 1 to 3 were unbroken then things went a bit off during rounds 5 to 6. Then came back with an unbroken final rounds. A little bit disappointed as I was hoping for sub-10mins.
Also this is 'round 4' of my weekly challenge with Jules - and unsuprisingly she whooped me yet again!!!
Finished off with some Stiff Leg Dead Lift practise:
3 x 15 @ 42kg
Still needs some work.

WOD was: 100 situps Run 20 lengths (400m) 21 burpees 21 kettlebell swings (24kg) 21 wall ball shots (10kg) Run 20 lengths 15 burpees 15 kettlebell swings (24kg) 15 wall ball shots (10kg) Run 20 lengths 9 burpees 9 kettlebell swings (24kg) 9 wall ball shots (10kg) Run 20 lengths 100 situps
Time - 26:14
Then divided into 2 groups, lunge walk carrying the KBs/med balls across the hall, highest number of total crossing wins. Team A (Big Si, Blissy, Mel, Fran, Si, Swanny) - 2 total crossing + 4 pieces of kit. Team B (Kath, Nick, Nic, Jules, Paul, Mark, Nadia) - 2 total crossings + 7 pieces of kit.
