Medicine balls are expensive. A 9kg (20lb) medicine ball can cost £50 +. We would all love a nice stack of Dynamax balls but until I become a pilot and fly my own back here to dodge the shipping charge then I will have to make my own for now.
I have, and they are very resiliant. All you need is:
Basket Ball Shoe goo Sand A funnel
Process:
1. Drill a hole in the basket ball. Not to big and preferably not near the valve. 2. put the funnel end in to the hole 3. put desired amount of sand in to the basketball. You can use rice and sand if you want to fill the ball up more. 4. sand area immediately around the hole 5. put some shoe goo around hole. 6. put something hard over hole i.e. piece of cardboard and then smother with shoe goo covering a good 2 inch diameter and covering any air holes. leave to set over night add more shoe goo if you like
Great for wall ball, balls slams and any other exercises you could do with any other medicine ball.
Cost basket balls £3 sand £2 for 25 kg Shoe goo £7 e-bay will stretch for a lot of these. Funnel 99p from Homebase or £1.99 for a set from B&Q
Cheers
Andy
