We are now stocking a range of olympic bars. We have 5, 6 and 7ft bars and a auluminium training bar.
Please contact me for cots and shipping.

I would like to buy an Olympic Bar and some bumpers so that I can train when I can't get to the Box. Could anyone give me some advice on which bar to get, which to avoid and any web sites that might be worth looking at.
I'm happy to spend up to £700 as that is what I currently pay per year to be a member at DL.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

If you are happy to spend some money I would recommend York for your bars and bumpers. The bars are the best we've bought at CFR and we bought the bumpers nearly two years ago and they are still going strong after some serious abuse!
Avoid Cross Gym at all costs!!!

I had a look into getting some for the works gym. I got quite a good offer from wolverson fitness. Never used their bumpers but CFR has their bars and they seem quite good. I like the guys at wolverson as well. But like Paul says, York is probably better. You could go crazy and get some eleiko gear. I would be you best friend if you did

Feeno is correct - Wolverson bars are another option, not used their plates either. And customer service at Wolverson is great!

PS. I looked at strength shop as well. Their bars are meant to be 'ok' and they are half the price of the wolverson one. I've got some of there plates at work. Their not great but they are ok and I think you can get about 100kg+ of used plates for about £170 on the website at the moment.

Thanks for the advice, I'd been looking at some York Bars but hadn't considered Wolverston so will probably give them a call........sorry to let you down feeno but Eleiko is probably out of my price range!
