think this is the best part of forum for this. basically i did a workout last week involving a lot of carrying and overhead pressing and then some hours later for some reason ended up arm wrestling someone at work. after this my right shoulder was quite sore but had cleared up by the end of the day. two days later i was doing standing barbell presses which caused me issues toward the end of the workout and on the last set when i got the barbell over my head my shoulder muscles kind of went numb and lost all power so i stopped there. my squats which were next were impacted upon too and so i stopped after 2 sets. over the weekend i used ibuprofen to reduce inflammation and did some myofascial work too when it was very sore to attempt to relax the muscles. went in again today and did bench press work but once was at working weight i lost all power in my right shoulder when bar was about 3-4 inches from my chest so i had to stop. also this is affecting my whole right arm: triceps biceps and even forearm. i'm aiming to see when i can get to see my physio, but otherwise anyone had anything similar before? obviously if this doesn't clear up i won't be participating 05/06/10

Gutted for you mate! Until you get it properly looked at, rest it. That is all I can say, I have had shoulder problems in the past and rest is the best policy.
