20 sit ups on misterc's abmat

20 Situps in 30.8 seconds.
I dont think i could have done it faster to be honest unless I relied on my legs more rather than my abs. I will try and cut it down to 30.6!!
See you guys tonight whoever is attending.

Hey Lenny, Andy, misterc and myself and Paulo all anchored our feet. I think use of legs...and arms is okay as it makes the sit up more functional...using multiple muscle groups .....Andy, can we have a another summary article on this please?

Hey,
In response I ankled my feet under the radiator which was fine but I was just trying to balance it between using my abs and arms to throw me up more rather than using my feet and legs to pull me up.
I guess I shall experiment and see what happens tonight when we move it up a notch.

Hi Guys,
Simply put, use whatever it takes to get the sit ups as fast as possible. Using as many muscles groups as possible shares the workload. Although this is only sit ups it will still produce a a good power output. Power is predominantly carried out for 1-15 seconds to get the most valuable results. This format will work on power but also, endurance/stamina and aerobic conditioning due to the time that will elapse (roughly 2-4 minutes).
We can work on the the other sit up style at another period.
Go hard!

must say, my abs are starting to feel it even now - can't wait till tomorrow. Started feeling a bit of fatigue in the last 10 today so tomorrow will be a whole different storey.
Good work people for keeping it going.

20, 5s rest, 30, 5s rest, 20 (feet anchored)

Started to feel in the legs the last 10.
Hmmm, if I could get 100 at this rate I think I could knock some time off my Angie.
